(AP) -- A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Northwestern associate head coach Ali Jaques has been hired to coach Siena's women's basketball team.
The person spoke Wednesday night on condition of anonymity because the school has not announced the move.
Jaques, who has been an associate head coach for the Wildcats for the past two seasons, will be introduced at a news conference Thursday. Northwestern was 58-68 during her time at the school, including having consecutive winning seasons in 2010 and 2011.
Jaques succeeds Gina Castelli, who left the school in early March. The Saints went 12-17 this season and were 336-296 in Castelli's 22 years.
Jaques graduated from NYU in 1998 and helped the team win the Division III national championship in 1997.
